MEET THE SCHOOL CHAPLAIN

MARTA PUGSLEY

As a School Chaplain, my role is to walk alongside Staff and Students.

I ensure that the Spirituality of our Faith which had been sown into the Beaulieu family by the Sisters of the Immaculate Conception is upheld and I do this with the help of students and staff.

As well as facilitating Holy Days of Obligation being marked and other special Feast Days such as our School Feast Day of the Immaculate Conception on the 8th December, Carol Services and the meaning of Advent and Lent along with appropriate Reconciliation Services, I endeavour to give opportunities to experience and get to know Christ in a closer relationship with him, this may be in the form of holding a ‘Week of Guided Prayer’ in the school or through the experience of attending school ‘Days of Reflection’ as well as encouraging prayers to be said during the day within the class room setting, or even short simple discussions about our beliefs.

I am also available for counselling, which is a part of walking alongside others, helping to empower others to face difficulties and come to a resolution so as to be able to move forward.

I invite you to visit the Chaplaincy page to find out more about what this area of work involves, which I hope will be useful not only to the students but to the parents and past pupils as well.

From time to time there will be masses or prayer events taking place at Beaulieu that we would welcome you to join.  Be sure to check the Calender of Events, where we will indicate “Parents and Past Pupils Welcome” whenever it is possible.

Parents and Past Pupils are welcome to join our daily morning prayers which take place every school day morning from 8.15 to 8.30 in the Beaulieu Chapel.

Just a reminder – the Beaulieu Chapel doors are open throughout the school day – you are always most welcome to stop by.
